Focusing on the image of the lady in Italian eighteenth-century music and art, these works include Vivaldi’s Cessate, omai cessate; Scarlatti’s Bella dama di nome Santa and Infirmata vulnerata; and the rarely recorded Salve Regina by Porpora.
