25 Mar 2019

Today, Resonus Classics has launched a new sub-label, Inventa Records.
Inventa Records will have a special focus on early music and is proud to be the new home of the award-winning choral group, Alamire and their director David Skinner. May 2019 sees the first release on the new label with a rare recording of large-scale choral works by Hieronymus Praetorius. The album features a stunning line-up of musicians including Alamire with His Majastys sagbutts and cornetts, and organist Stephen Farr all under the direction of David Skinner.
The album is available for pre-order on the Resonus site today.
Future releases on the new label include: and EP of a Tudor Miscellany, including Media vita by John Sheppard with Alamire; an album of Ferrabosco - both father and son - in Elizabethan England with a programme of sacred and secular music with Alamire and instrumentalists; and an album of Cantatas by G.F. Handel with American Counter-tenor Lawrence Zazzo.
