Stephen Farr records Bach in Cambridge
10 Jun 2013

Earlier in 2013, internationally renowned organist Stephen Farr made his first full Bach recording with a new album of the complete Clavier-Übung III for Resonus Classics. One of the few collections of Bach's works to be published during his lifetime, Clavier-Übung III contains some most poignant and beautiful music that he composed. At various points virtuosic and also deceptively simple it also provides a masterclass in counterpoint for the organ.
Recorded on the magnificent 1975 Metzler instrument of the chapel of Trinity College, Cambridge, Farr has provided a breathatking and authentic rendition of one of the cornerstones of the organ repertoire. This stunning new recording will be available from 1 July 2013 in digital formats from MP3 to 96kHz studio masters.
