Stephen Farr (organ)
Nicky Spence (tenor)

Following on from the critical success of the first volume, celebrated organist Stephen Farr records the second volume in his complete survey of the complete organ works of British composer Kenneth Leighton (1929-1988).

Farr is joined for this volume by the tenor Nicky Spence in their world premiere recording of These are Thy Wonders, Op. 84 - a sensitive and expressive setting of 'The Flower' by George Herbert. Also included in this volume is Leighton's earliest solo work for the instrument, the Prelude, Scherzo and Passacaglia, Op. 41 and Et Resurrexit (Theme, Fantasy & Fugue), Op. 49 along with two shorter works the Festival Fanfare of 1968 and Veni Creator Spiritus - Leighton's last work for the organ from 1987.

Farr records on the substantial and impressive Klais organ of Birmingham's Symphony Hall.
